Alyson moved to Norway in 1986 with her husband and 1 year old son and has been here ever since. Alyson trained at St Mary’s College, Bangor, North Wales for 3 years, receiving a Teachers’ Certificate. In her 23 years at ISB she has taught as a class room teacher, Pre-School, Kindergarten and Grade 1, and as well as having been the school's PYP Coordinator and ELS Coordinator.

Bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Development, with a specialty in Child Development from San Diego State University in San Diego, California. She left her job at an Early Education Center in Los Angeles teaching 2 year olds to come live in Norway.

Grew up in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. Has a certificate in Early Childhood Education. She left her job at an Early Education Center in Canada primarily teaching 4 year old's, to come live in Norway with her husband.
Jacob graduated from Lancaster University with an MA and a TEFL qualification, and has previously taught in the UK and at an International School in Dhaka (Bangladesh). He started at ISB shortly after moving to Norway in spring 2013. Outside teaching, he has been a Lifeguard, a magazine editor, and a (not very successful) University Challenge contestant.

Marilyn has a B.A. in Linguistics from the University of York, a Teaching Certificate from the University of Leicester with a specialism in Early Childhood Education and an M.A. in Linguistics from Trinity Western University, British Columbia. She taught Reception and Year 1 for 4 years in England. During her previous 8 years at the International School of Bergen she was class teacher for Pre-school 4, Grade 1 and Grade 2. Marilyn grew up in England and have also lived in Sweden, and Canada.
Ruth is a Nursery Nurse, N. N. E. B. She has lived in Canada and Spain.

Yutong has a B.A. in English and a Teaching Certificate with a specialism in English Education, in addition to an M.A. in Comparative and International Education from University of Oslo and an M.A. in Linguistics from Norwegian University of Science and Technology. She worked as a primary teacher in the public school system in China before moving to Norway.
